- Sample: Small qty (1-10), fast, validates product and trust
- Bulk: Mass production, contract, delivery and warranty terms
- Sample approval precedes bulk orders
Sampling Flow
- Clarify: drawing/OE/size/material/finish
- Quote: sample fee + tooling (if any) + courier
- Make: full inspection of key sizes, report included
- Ship: DHL/FedEx with packing list and report
- Customer approves (fit test) - written - bulk order
Sample Fees
- Common: buyer pays sample + freight, refunded on order
- Key accounts: free sample, buyer pays freight
- Standard stock: ship free
- Set quality expectations (sample != bulk standard)
Machined Parts
- Include material cert and size report
- Note differences from mass production
- Huami makes to drawing, 7-15 days
