Two Designs

Rubber mount: Rubber + metal frame, simple and cheap.

Hydraulic mount: Internal fluid chambers and orifices dissipate vibration energy - better damping.

Comparison

• Rubber: Cheap, durable, simple; mediocre idle damping
• Hydraulic: Quiet idle, smooth ride; pricier, leak risk

Selection

• Keep hydraulic if OEM was hydraulic (rubber may shake at idle)
• Upgrade to hydraulic only if dimensions match
• Quality rubber mounts are fine for budget-focused owners

Notes

Replace mounts in sets. Never heat or hammer hydraulic mounts (damages internal oil passages).
