Strut Mount Core and Outer Tube: Machining Precision Requirements
Core and Outer Tube
A strut mount is rubber + metal frame. The core (inner skeleton) and outer tube are the key machined parts, vulcanized into the rubber.
Roles
- Core: Centers and connects the piston rod, takes tension
- Outer tube: Fits the body mounting seat, transfers load
Precision Requirements
- Tolerance: IT7-IT8 on critical fits (±0.02-0.05mm)
- Concentricity: ≤0.05mm for smooth rotation
- Finish: Ra1.6-3.2 on mating surfaces
- Deburring: Protects rubber and seals
Why Precision Matters
- Loose fit → noise and play
- Rough surface → fast wear
- Poor concentricity → stiff steering
Huami Advantage
Huami specializes in CNC machining of mount cores/tubes with full inspection (contour/vision systems). Stable batch quality, open for cooperation.
